NFL free agency kicks off on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Eastern time. If you haven’t been following the NFL news for the past two days, the official start might be more exciting than it seems.
The NFL’s legal tampering period started on Monday, leading to a frenzy of top free agents being locked up. By Wednesday, 17 out of the top 25 free agents listed by Yahoo Sports on Monday had already agreed to deals.
However, free agency is far from over. Teams continue to seek veteran help, and there are still some viable options available. Here are the top 10 free agents who have not yet agreed to deals and are still on the market:
Fuller was ranked seventh among cornerbacks in Pro Football Focus’ grades last season. Despite being 29 years old, there are concerns about any potential decline, but Fuller is expected to secure another sizable contract this offseason.
Brown, a former first-round draft pick, has just one 1,000-yard season in his five-year NFL career. Injuries have been a concern, but some teams are willing to gamble on his health and productivity as he enters his age-27 season.
(UPDATED: Signing four-year deal with Titans)
Ridley was considered an elite receiver at one point, but his performance in 2021 with the Falcons and subsequent events in 2022 and 2023 have raised doubts. Despite this, the Titans saw enough potential to offer him a $92 million deal.
Despite being cut for salary-cap reasons and dealing with an ACL injury, Williams, the seventh pick of the 2017 draft, has two 1,000-yard seasons under his belt. His talent stands out in a thin receiver market, even though some teams may be cautious due to his injury.

Smith is a top performer when he’s on the field, but his availability has been limited by injuries. Playing just 13 games last season, the 33-year-old linebacker remains a concern due to his health and age.
Simmons, who was a Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro last season, led the NFL in interceptions in 2022. Despite being 30 years old, he is still a very capable safety.
Brown, a massive left tackle, has been consistently good and still has plenty of potential left in him. Teams with offensive line issues may look to add him to their roster.
Baker, a 27-year-old off-ball linebacker, is a solid defender who can contribute on all three downs. While he may not be an impact player, his versatility makes him a valuable asset for any team.
Howard, who was once the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history, had a less impressive season in 2023 and was recently cut by the Dolphins. However, the two-time Pro Bowler’s skills are still desirable in a league where quality cornerbacks are hard to find.
10. Washington Commanders S Kamren Curl
Curl, a seventh-round draft pick, quickly established himself as a starter for the Commanders and has shown good all-around ability throughout his four seasons with the team. At 25 years old, he is expected to secure a lucrative long-term deal.
