Under the plan, a wide array of services such as technology R&D, purification workshops, public experimental and sterilization platforms, industry resources, CRO registration resources, policy and capital matchmaking, and administrative logistics would be provided to the resident enterprises. The aim is to foster the growth of startups and build innovative platforms for the transformation and incubation of medical devices.
Li Xin, the general manager of Shanghai Yingtai Purun Medical Device Co Ltd, a company located in the park, reminisced that open surgery was the primary surgical method 30 years ago. However, the last two decades have ushered in the era of intervention, where a single catheter can solve numerous problems. Li believes the future will be the era of non-invasive surgery, with the company focusing on the R&D of non-invasive and innovative medical devices.
The park offers a comprehensive platform for engineering transformation for companies, aiding in the production process. Li is hopeful that the platform will allow for further development and improvement of their products based on clinical doctors’ feedback. He anticipates the launch of a new product, currently under production, somewhere in 2026 or 2027.

On the same day, the Windfun Digital Park, an eSports park, was opened in Nanxiang Town. This park, a significant part of the Nanxiang Game Valley, consists of two office buildings and a podium, covering about 28,000 square meters, with roughly 23,000 square meters of office space. In the last few years, Nanxiang has been enhancing its competitiveness in the gaming industry. Approximately 1,500 gaming enterprises have been established in the town. The local gaming industry output of the town represents a quarter of the city’s total.
By 2025, Nanxiang aims to accomplish a total industrial output of 80 billion yuan (US$11.2 billion) and expand the number of gaming and animation companies to 1,800. By 2035, the target is to increase the industrial output to 240 billion yuan and the number of firms to 3,000.
